Happy Solstice – Longest Day!

by | Jun 20, 2024 | Event, General

There’s plenty of natural light today, the longest day of the year. Perfect for painting or drawing!

And that also means June is nearly over and we are heading into Summer! Yay!

For those of you who missed the June Healing Art Circles Workshop, I just want to say – it was an enormously enjoyable and relaxing Saturday morning playing with water colors and allowing ourselves to relax, while just letting the art happen. It was a very zen feeling by the end of the workshop, and kudos go to Wendie Appell for her stellar presentation and calming voice.

Just a reminder to all, when there are zoom workshops or webinars, Creative Roots Foundation always offers a “Pay what you can” feature, in keeping with the mission of providing encouragement and nurturing regardless of income and means. And even if you cannot attend, once you have registered you will get a link to the video replay so you can follow along at your leisure.

There are many more speakers planned for the coming months, but July will be mostly a month long celebration of  Junk Journaling – because it is a perfect summer project for kids of all ages (trust me, I am 67 and I still qualify as a kid most days). I’ll be sharing tips and tricks – I may do a livestream or two, depending on the stars aligning properly and if my video skills improve enough.  So I just wanted to remind you all to visit the Facebook Group regularly to see what’s happening each day.

Oh, and before I forget, please join the Facebook Group and invite all of your creative friends to join. There is inspiration in groups of creative people brainstorming together!
